Our Services
Minnesota Lung Center clinics provide a vast array of diagnostic services including complete pulmonary function testing and cardiopulmonary stress testing. In addition to our board certified physician team, we are staffed with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses and respiratory care practitioners who provide education and training in the use of respiratory medications and equipment.
Appointments
We have six metropolitan area locations to serve you.
Our office hours are 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments start at 9 a.m.
Nursing Staff
The registered nurse staff at Minnesota Lung Center and Minnesota Sleep Institute assists with patient interviews at initial and follow-up visits. These nurse clinicians listen to and document your symptoms, history and needs, perform basic physical assessments and organize data and documentation for the physician. Under your physician’s direction, the nurse clinicians will ensure that details of your plan of care and treatment are clear and complete. The nurse clinicians will also serve as a liaison between you and your physician in the future.
Respiratory Care Services
Diagnostic testing is performed in our clinics using state-of-the-art technology and instrumentation. Our staff of nationally registered and state licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCPs) performs procedures such as Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing and Pulmonary Function Testing, including Methacholine challenge. In addition to providing diagnostic testing services, Minnesota Lung Center’s knowledgeable and experienced RCPs work under the direction of our physicians to assist with educating patients about their condition and making home care and travel arrangements for patients requiring oxygen.
Nurse Triage (Helpline)
The Nurse Triage Department is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Nurses are available by phone or will return calls to those patients who leave messages on our Nurse Helpline 952-567-7400.
Insurance
Minnesota Lung Center accepts most major insurance policies and will file all your claims to your health insurance organization. To find out more about your insurance coverage regarding out-of-pocket expenses, referrals, prior authorizations, or coverage for your visit, please call the customer service phone number listed on the back of your insurance card or contact your employer. You can contact our insurance/billing department at 952-567-7400. We accept Visa and MasterCard.
Clinical Research
Since 1989, the research department of Minnesota Lung Center has partnered with pharmaceutical and medical device companies to investigate new medications and devices in the treatment of COPD, asthma, allergies, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, sarcoidosis and sleep disorders.
Qualified clinical research study participants receive financial reimbursement as well as medical care, medications and diagnostic testing at no cost. We are committed to ensuring that all research participants are safely monitored and confident about their health care. Research patients are not required to be Minnesota Lung Center/Minnesota Sleep Institute patients.
