Research Study:

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Study #2

This study is seeking current or former cigarette smokers over the age of 40 with suspected diagnosis or diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Common COPD symptoms include shortness of breath, cough, coughing up phlegm, and wheezing. This study will consist of 6 office visits over a period of about 4 months.

Only individuals currently using Spiriva (tiotropium) HandiHaler or Respimat on a daily basis for the past 3 months may be eligible. Qualified volunteers receive the study inhalers and study-related medical care at no cost and compensation for time and travel. Health insurance is not necessary. This study is being conducted at our Minneapolis and Edina offices.
